Isolating? How to make the most of counselling, until the world is saved

At a time of great uncertainty and change, anxiety and distance, counselling provide a balancing consistency and help us to process our inner worlds, relationships and the global situation.

I am currently working with clients via video sessions using Zoom; phone, text/email. All other boundaries remain the same. Sessions are 50 minutes, at a scheduled time and we can talk to one another in the way that best suits you.

Video counselling

You will need:

  1. Privacy. 50 minutes without being overheard or disturbed

  2. A phone, tablet or computer connected to the internet

  3. Access to Zoom (I will send details to you) - a free, secure video conferencing service

Phone counselling

You will need:

  1. Privacy, as above

  2. A phone

Text or email counselling

This method is useful for people who are unable to access a private space. If you are likely to be overheard or disturbed, perhaps because others are self-isolating at home with you, this can be a useful method. It can also be helpful for people who feel anxious talking on phone or video calls.

This can be used in combination with video, so that you can see and hear me, I can see you, but you can type your responses, so not to be overheard.

Work on your anxiety, uncertainty, fear, irritation, boredom, overwhelm - whatever the Covid-19 lockdown has brought into your life. Or work on the issues that persist in your life - low-mood, self-esteem issues, relationship or parenting difficulties, bereavement, trauma, feeling lost, and more.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Stay safe out there and let’s hope that we will emerge to a world better, kinder and more connected than the one we left behind.
